Jamie Bartlett

Bestselling author, investigative journalist and one of the UK's leading commentators on technology, trust and the digital world.

Through his bestselling books, documentaries and podcasts, Jamie has spent more than a decade investigating the technologies, online communities and emerging threats reshaping society — from cybercrime and online fraud to digital influence, artificial intelligence and the future of trust.

He's the author of acclaimed books including The Dark Net, The People Vs Tech, and his new Sunday Times bestseller How To Talk To AI (And How Not To), and creator of the hit BBC podcast The Missing Cryptoqueen. As organisations face growing volumes of information, increasingly complex investigations and the rapid emergence of AI, Jamie brings a valuable external perspective on how technology is changing the way we assess risk, make decisions and understand the threat landscape.

Intellectual Property Office (IPO)

The Intellectual Property Office (IPO) is the UK government body responsible for intellectual property rights, including patents, trademarks, designs and copyright. As an executive agency of the Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade, the IPO operates and maintains the UK's intellectual property system and helps creators, inventors and businesses protect and maximise the value of their ideas.

The organisation's mission is to support innovation, creativity and economic growth through a clear, accessible and effective intellectual property system. Its priorities include delivering high-quality and accessible services, supporting innovation through policy development, and helping businesses make the most of their intellectual property assets.

The IPO plays a central role in educating businesses and consumers about intellectual property rights, supporting enforcement activity, and granting UK patents, trademarks and design rights. It also works to ensure that the UK's intellectual property framework remains fit for emerging technologies and new challenges, including artificial intelligence.

Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU)

The Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) is the independent integrity body of World Athletics, established in 2017 to protect the integrity of athletics. Operating independently from World Athletics, the AIU has responsibility for managing integrity programmes across the sport.

Its remit extends beyond anti-doping and includes tackling a broad range of integrity threats, including competition manipulation, bribery and corruption, safeguarding concerns, age manipulation and transfers of allegiance. The organisation's mission is centred on protecting clean, fair and safe sport and supporting athletes through independent, transparent and evidence-based action.

he AIU combines testing, intelligence gathering, investigations, case management, compliance and education to detect, deter and address integrity threats across global athletics. Since its formation, it has positioned itself as a pioneering model for independent integrity management within international sport.
